AHON Brings More Joy to Children

MARCH 6, 2015, NUEVA VIZCAYA — Two libraries in Bayombong and Villaverde were newly refurbished thanks to AHON Foundation and its partner organizations. The new partner schools, La Torre Elementary School and Bintawan South Elementary School, were recommended by Former Mayor of Sta. Fe, Nueva Vizcaya. The inauguration proved to be a success as school officials, students, and their parents celebrated their schools’ new libraries with much joy and excitement.

Aside from the book delivery and inauguration of the library, the children were also delighted by the storytelling activity conducted by volunteers from the Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership, Excel Center for Educational Leadership and the Jesse Robredo Foundation. Both the children and the volunteer storytellers truly enjoyed the storytelling session, and created a bond among the students in a short amount of time.

Currently, AHON Foundation continues its search for more schools to partner with and provide more libraries to. AHON Foundation is still accepting children’s books, storybooks, and reference books for their book drives to be given to more public elementary schools around the country.
